{"id":1316,"date":"2015-12-12T22:15:06","date_gmt":"2015-12-13T06:15:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.buchholz-cellars.org\/?p=1316"},"modified":"2016-07-10T13:14:47","modified_gmt":"2016-07-10T20:14:47","slug":"49-bing-cherry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.buchholz-cellars.org\/?p=1316","title":{"rendered":"#49 &#8211; Bing Cherry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bottled (8) 750ml and (25) 375ml (from 5 gallons) at 15% ABV on 12 December 2015.<\/p>\n<p>These bing cherries were from late in the 2014 season, same story as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buchholz-cellars.org\/?p=1310\">#48 Rainier Cherry<\/a>. \u00a0Both batches were also the first to go through the new bladder press I bought this year to save my hands the trouble of squeezing them all by hand! \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>It looks a bit like a darker ros\u00e9, with a polished clarity to it, thanks to running it through the new filter a few times. \u00a0The nose is light and subtle, but still has hints of cherry and perhaps a bit of rose flower. \u00a0The flavor is certainly\u00a0more delicate than \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.buchholz-cellars.org\/?p=207\">#11 Cherry<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buchholz-cellars.org\/?p=255\">#25 Bing Cherry<\/a>\u00a0&#8212; much more reasonable on the alcohol, and certainly not anything\u00a0like a port &#8212; and has a nice gentle tartness to it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bottled (8) 750ml and (25) 375ml (from 5 gallons) at 15% ABV on 12 December 2015.
