{"id":591,"date":"2013-06-16T21:45:48","date_gmt":"2013-06-17T04:45:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.buchholz-cellars.org\/?p=591"},"modified":"2014-08-14T19:25:29","modified_gmt":"2014-08-15T02:25:29","slug":"33-red-anjou-pear","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.buchholz-cellars.org\/?p=591","title":{"rendered":"#33 &#8211; Red Anjou Pear"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bottled (24) 375ml and (8) 750ml (from 5 gallons) at 16% ABV on 16.June.2013.<\/p>\n<p>This turned out much better than <a title=\"#16 \u2013 Pear\" href=\"http:\/\/www.buchholz-cellars.org\/?p=228\">#16 Pear<\/a>, partially because I finished to taste and didn&#8217;t leave it bone-dry, but I think partly because I used Red Anjou pears this time. \u00a0It currently has a pinkish color to it; however, I suspect this will probably precipitate out over time.<\/p>\n<p>Like its predecessor, this pairs well with gorgonzola or other blue cheeses&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Update 14 August 2014 &#8212; As suspected, most (but \u00a0not all) of that pinkish color to it has precipitated out. \u00a0Sedimentation, however, is actually quite minimal, considering I didn&#8217;t use bentonite clay&#8230; \u00a0This wine was quite popular, I depleted my stocks quite quickly, if I remember correctly!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bottled (24) 375ml and (8) 750ml (from 5 gallons) at 16% ABV on 16.June.2013.
